Client stories during Covid-19
During Covid-19 we have adapted how we work. Measures we have taken to reduce the risk of Covid-19 to our staff and clients include:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – We have issued all staff with gloves, aprons, fluid repellent surgical masks and eye protection.
Hand hygiene – We have added specific hand-washing tasks to care plans. This adds an extra level of accountability by requiring staff to document their infection control actions.
Social distancing – Staff are required to maintain social distancing during their work as much as possible. They are expected to adhere to government social distancing guidelines outside of work.
Client communication – We have kept our clients informed about changes to the way we work. We are in regular contact with our clients to understand changes to their care needs during Covid-19.
Staff communication – We regularly update our staff with the latest information about Covid-19. We have been in regular contact with all our staff to support them during the pandemic.
Public transport – We have provided all staff with washable reusable masks to wear on public transport. Where possible we are scheduling rotas to help staff avoid busy times of day on public transport.
